Iconic entertainer Christine Anu will launch the Wyndham Learning Festival on 24 August at Encore Events Centre, Hoppers Crossing.
Join us for an amazing afternoon, which will include a performance by Christine, who is one of Australia’s most popular recording artists and performers. She will talk about her acclaimed 30+ year career that spans music, theatre, dance, film, television, radio, children’s entertainment, and advocacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Celebrations on the day will also include a First Nations Expo and Craft Market.
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Wyndham Learning Festival which has the milestone theme, A Decade of Discovery: Celebrating 10 years of learning, shining a light on the incredible learning journeys within our community.
The Festival will run from 1 to 7 September and will feature more than 100 free events, workshops, and activities! From food and cooking to history, culture & diversity workshops to well-being & self-care classes – there is something for all ages, interests and abilities at venues located across the city.
The Festival is led by Wyndham Community & Education Centre and is supported by Wyndham City.
