Information for authors

Victoria’s public library services frequently engage authors to give talks, participate in events, judge writing competitions and/or deliver writing workshops. Individual libraries make decisions to program authors based on what they believe will appeal to their communities, informed by factors such as data on library loans, requests from library patrons, and feedback on previous events. Program budgets will also be taken into account. Information for authors seeking paid work with libraries and/or to advertise their book(s) may be found here.
