Following the success of the pilot partnership with the Office for Social Cohesion, which saw 125 libraries deliver more than 750 community programs across Australia, ALIA is pleased to once again invite applications from public libraries to participate in the next round of this exciting initiative.
In the 2026/2027 round, up to 125 public libraries will be selected to run workshops and all-day events that strengthen social connection, understanding and inclusion.
Participating libraries can apply to deliver:
- Two or more workshops (2–3 hours each), receiving $2,200 (incl. GST) per workshop; and/or
- One or more all-day events (6+ hours), receiving $6,600 (incl. GST) per event.
Applications close Thursday 16 July 2026, and all programs must be delivered before 16 April 2027.

- 12 August – Successful libraries notified
- 21 August – Signed contracts due from successful libraries
