The deadline for applications for National Science Week Seed Grants has been extended to Friday 16 May 2025. The Inspiring Victoria Partnership Board, which administers the grants, is keen to see a good spread of National Science Week events at libraries across Victoria.
National Science Week takes place between 9-17 August 2025. Libraries can apply for grants of up to $1,000 (GST free) for seed funding to run a public event, activity or program during the week. Organisations may submit multiple applications for different proposals.
Feel free to get creative! Previously, National Science Week has featured workshops, lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, festivals, competitions and film screenings, but as long as your proposed event meets the eligibility criteria below we would love to hear about it. The Science Week Library Activities booklet offers case studies, activity ideas and heaps of resources.
