With misinformation, deepfakes, AI and algorithms overwhelming the information environment, library patrons need media literacy more than ever before. In this professional development webinar, you’ll discover:

  • What media literacy is and why it matters to your patrons
  • How to put media literacy into everyday practice ​
  • How to use the research-backed (and free) Stay Smart Online short course to help your patrons​ build their resilience to misinformation
  • Where to get more information for LIS professionals.

University of Canberra researcher, author and journalist Saffron Howden will facilitate this practical session and discussion.
