Your right to ask: Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner (VLSB+C)

Navigating the law and the legal system can be hard. However, encouraging people to ask the right questions to their lawyer can simplify the process.

While a lawyer is there to support people with their legal issues, the Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner (VLSB+C) can provide free but valuable assistance in identifying the right questions to ask. This may include questions about billing, communicating effectively with their lawyer and clarification of their lawyer’s obligations.

What you can do to help

As a trusted stakeholder in the community, the VLSB+C would appreciate your library’s help in spreading awareness about the importance of asking lawyers the right questions. They’ve developed a campaign supporter kit that includes the key campaign messages and materials to share with your networks and community.

Click the following links to download: a factsheet, digital poster, audio, social media posts and video, and read more in the supporter kit.
