[CW: This post contains reference to historical childhood sexual abuse]

The independent Forum for Truth and Recognition (the Forum) is now open.

The Forum is for people who have experienced child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools and certain non-government schools prior to the year 2000.

This is a safe and respectful space for people to share their experiences, have their voices heard and contribute to the public record.

The experiences shared will contribute to Victoria building a stronger shared understanding of the lifelong impacts of child sexual abuse in schools so we can better prevent and respond to it now and into the future.

People can participate in the Forum from now until March 2026.

The Forum will deliver a report to the Premier of Victoria mid-2026.

The Forum is seeking help from public libraries to get the message out to people who may have experienced child sexual abuse in Victorian government schools so that their voices are included in the report.

There is power in your truth. Your experience matters and should be heard.

This Promotions pack contains all libraries need to share information about the Forum with your stakeholders, networks and community, including copy and images for social media posts, newsletters and websites. There are downloadable digital assets including brochures, and a print-ready A4 poster and A3 poster.
