The PLV–SLV Planning Summit is an important opportunity for Victoria’s public library network to come together, reflect on our achievements, and set shared priorities for the year ahead.
Previously held every three years, the Summit will now take place annually, creating a regular forum for collaboration and joint planning between Public Libraries Victoria (PLV) and State Library Victoria (SLV). This year’s Summit will focus on identifying key themes and statewide projects for FY2026-27, helping us align our collective efforts to strengthen outcomes across the sector.
To ensure the Summit reflects the experiences, challenges, and aspirations of library staff across Victoria, we’re inviting you to share your insights through a sector-wide survey: https://forms.office.com/r/xNkFZBXtq6
This is your chance to:
- Identify emerging priorities and opportunities for shared action
- Suggest areas where we can improve or try new approaches
Your feedback will help shape the discussion at the Summit, ensuring it’s grounded in real experiences and forward-thinking ideas from across the network.
We encourage all library staff to contribute—every perspective helps build a stronger, more connected sector.
The 2025 PLV–SLV Planning Summit will be facilitated by Keren Murray (Advisory Committee on Public Libraries), whose respected leadership and understanding of the library landscape will guide a constructive and future-focused conversation.
