Call for Victorian public library staff to pick 2023 Dublin Literary Award nomination

Please note that information regarding the Award is confidential until officially announced by Dublin. This includes potential candidates, and who is voting for whom.

We need Victorian public library staff to help choose Victoria’s nomination. State Library Victoria will submit the top title as voted by you, from the list nominated by publishers. Voting is now open!

  1. Read: This is a tremendous collection of Victorian content/novels by Victorian authors to top up your reading list

  2. Vote: To vote, select your preferred title at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2023DublinLitAward by COB Wednesday 6 July 2022. That’s 105 days of reading to find your winner!

Choice should be based solely on the literary merit of the work. Please only vote once. Voting is only open to Victorian public library staff.

There are 28 stories to choose from this year about love, revenge, socialism, murder, public speaking, horses, and my favourite: service dogs! (If your email only accepts plain text, please view this post on the PLV website to see the list of books).

Last year’s 2022 nominee as voted by you was The Survivors, by Jane Harper, and was longlisted.
