Congratulations to Moreland City Libraries on receiving the 2022 Pierre Gorman Award. Valued at $25,000, this award supports leadership in development of Victorian public library services for people with disabilities.

Moreland Libraries will use the funds to deliver art workshops for people living with disabilities that will provide participants with social connection, build their confidence, their skills and their capacity. The workshops will be delivered out of the new MakerSpaces at its Coburg and Glenroy branches.

The Pierre Gorman Award is presented by the Library Board of Victoria, the State Library’s board. Board member Maxine McKew presented the Award to Moreland Libraries representative Narelle Stute at the State Library on Wednesday 2 March.
