The Terror Australis Readers and Writers Festival (TARWF) invites submissions from young writers to age 16 from around Australia to their Children’s Short Story Competition.

Theme

To celebrate the centenary of her visit, this year’s theme is ‘Agatha Christie in Tasmania‘. Children everywhere, to age 16, are invited to create an Agatha Christie-type mystery set in Tasmania.

Prize

For this year’s prize: winning and shortlisted entries will be published in a book by Libraries Tasmania.

Children everywhere, to age 16, are invited to enter the competition. There are no limits on where the young writer lives.

Entries close 6.00PM 20 February 2023.
