Public Libraries Victoria has released the latest version of the PLV Conference 2023 program.

The program update includes the title of Skye Patrick’s keynote address, ‘Transforming Lives: Libraries at the Center of Community’.

(Yes, we know that’s an American spelling, but as Skye is American, we are respecting that!).

The Hon Melissa Horne MP, Minister for Local Government, is confirmed to give the official opening.

Neane Carter will join Terri Janke in presenting on Fri 12 May.

Dr Sarah Wight from Raising Literacy Australia will deliver the workshop on Thurs 11 May, ‘Inclusive Literacy Practice (Early Years)’.

The workshop on Fri 12 May is ‘Turn your conference idea into a grant application’ with Nadyne Eggleton from State Library Victoria and Melissa Short from Local Government Victoria.

Over 300 people have registered to attend the conference, which promises to be a valuable – and fun – networking opportunity, as well as providing uplifting, thought-provoking and/or challenging presentations.

There is still time to register via this page.

And if you are attending, please share your reflections and insights via social media using the hashtag #PLVconf23
