About the Role
Connected Libraries are currently recruiting for a team of casuals to work across our various branches, including Bunjil Place, Cranbourne, Doveton, Endeavour Hills and Hampton Park Libraries. Casual shifts can include day, evenings and Saturday morning shifts. A casual employee can accept a shift with the understanding that there is no firm advance commitment to ongoing work with an agreed pattern of work.
We are ideally looking for highly flexible individuals who can accept shifts with minimal notice, are able to adapt quickly to fast paced working environments and thrive on providing excellent customer service skills with multi-cultural and diverse communities.
You will have:
- The ability to effectively and efficiently provide friendly customer service
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all ages across all levels of community
- Information technology and problem-solving skills in a range of information technology and software tools
- Demonstrated understanding of the role of public libraries in communities and a community focused approach to service delivery
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes
- Year 12 completed or equivalent
- Public Library experience desirable
- Driver’s licence
