Libraries Across Australia – Host Your Own Stella Prize Party!
Stella invites you to join us in celebrating the 2025 Stella Prize winner on Friday 23rd May at 5pm with a FREE prize night livestream party.
On Friday, May 23rd at 5pm, libraries nationwide are invited to host their own live-streaming event as we announce the 2025 Stella Prize Winner. Transform your library into a vibrant hub of literary celebration and bring your community together to share the excitement. The livestream will be broadcast live from Sydney Writers Festival with the Stella judges sharing their insights on the shortlisted books and announcing the 2025 winner.
We will be working with the media to compile a broadcast feature with a number of the libraries involved – so register ASAP!
There will be a prize for two guests – a signed copy of the 2025 Prize winning book.

How to create your own Stella party
What you will need
Here’s what you’ll need to host your live-streaming event:
– A projector, screen, or TV to display the live-stream.
– Reliable internet access.
– A computer or device to connect to the live-stream.
– Comfortable seating for your audience.
Create a literary party atmosphere! Here are some ideas:
– Themed decorations: Highlight Australian authors and the Stella Prize.
– Costume dress-up: Invite attendees to dress as their favourite author or literary character.
– Snacks and drinks: Serve book-inspired treats.
