Public Libraries Victoria is writing a report based on the recent statewide survey about book clubs and book chats in public libraries. Our consultant Sharon Mullins is keen to put together some case studies to showcase public libraries’ valuable and inspiring work in this area.

We are looking for examples of creative book clubs facilitated by libraries in metro, outer metro, regional and rural areas. We are particularly interested in innovative models, e.g. book clubs targeted at specific cohorts, walking book clubs, book clubs facilitated by library staff outside the library, book clubs with interesting themes, etc.

If you have stories to share or would be available for interview, please email Sharon on [email protected]

Where relevant, please ensure staff and/or library users are happy to be quoted. Quotes can be submitted anonymously (e.g. ‘one of our local library users said …’ etc) or by using a pseudonym (please specify if you do this).

High-res photos are also welcome, together with contact details for staff responsible for book clubs and book chats.

Thanks in advance for your input.
