There’s a fantastic upcoming opportunity to join the AI4LAM Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand chapter for a webinar later this month, on 27 February 2024, at 1pm AEDT

Dr Mia Ridge, British Library and Sae Ra Germaine, CAVAL reflect upon and discuss their experience with collaboration as a powerful means to enrich understanding with multidisciplinary team work, build interest and support through stakeholder engagement and embrace of different perspectives, and the impact this has on the collaborating parties. Over an hour the experience and insights from collaboration will be discussed and a range of topics to springboard dialogue such as: the complicated history of collecting; the culture of collaboration in the GLAM; readiness for practice change; misinformation and influence; resourcing for ML/AI; dealing with data problems; the rise of data curation as significant; data management challenges; and the new era of digital curation (and curators). The conversation will be facilitated by Ingrid Mason, National Film and Sound Archive of Australia.
