Love Your Library in Your Language campaign

The Love Your Library in Your Language campaign aims to encourage library patrons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) to participate by writing a message of love to their local public library in their preferred language during in March during Cultural Diversity Week 11-21 March and Harmony Week 20-26 March 2023.

The campaign is a collaboration of Public Libraries Victoria, the PLV Multicultural Services and Programs Special Interest Group, and CAVAL, teh campaign sponsor.

Postcards have been created by CAVAL in collaboration with a working party. The postcards provide a space for a handwritten message. During the campaign, encourage library patrons to write a message to be displayed during the campaign. Throughout the campaign, share a photo or scanned copy of completed postcards with us and on your social media channels using #loveyourlibrary

At the end of the campaign, the completed postcards will be collected and shared with the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs, The Hon Colin Brooks, to help raise the Minister’s awareness of the importance of public libraries for Victoria’s multicultural communities.
