The International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) is excited to invite applications for the Emerging Leaders’ Grants for  the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) 2025.

If you are, or know of, a passionate librarian in the first 15 years of their library career who is eager to help shape the future of international librarianship, IFLA wants to hear from you.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Free registration to WLIC 2025 in Kazakhstan
  • A grant of €1000–€2000 to assist with travel costs
  • A chance to contribute to IFLA’s leadership and trend discussions

IFLA will also request them to present their ideas, connect with global peers, and later on share insights with their home network.

Successful candidates will be notified by 11 July 2025.

IFLA understands this is very short notice as they have only just been able to confirm the funding for these grants. Kindly note that Australian citizens do not require a visa to enter Kazakhstan and can simply arrange their travel.
