Public libraries play a vital role in providing access to information and resources for people with print disability, and we are interested in learning more about the types of services and resources that are currently available.

Towards Accessible and Inclusive Public Libraries research project, developed in consultation with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), aims to develop a greater understanding of the role of public libraries in facilitating access to books to individuals with print disability. We hope to uncover how familiar librarians are with the needs of people with print disabilities, what resources and services public libraries offer, and identify key challenges and areas for improvement.

Please respond to the Towards Accessible and Inclusive Public Libraries survey by 31 July 2023.

Your participation in this survey will help us to gather valuable information about the current state of resources and services for people with print disability at public libraries. The survey will take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and your responses will be completely confidential.

This survey is open to all staff of public libraries in Australia working in various roles (acquisition, collection management, library programs and services, technical, marketing and management).
