The PLV Conference program is now available for downloading here.

Heading our list of keynote speakers is Skye Patrick, Los Angeles County Library Director and Library Journal’s Librarian of the Year 2019. Also confirmed is Dr Terri Janke (pictured), a Wuthathi/Meriam woman, who will present the results of her research into how culturally safe public libraries in Victoria are for Aboriginal staff and patrons, and the cultural competency of public library staff. And we will be joined by former MP Kate Ellis, now CEO of Raising Literacy Australia.

Our MC for the conference is the wonderful Jacinta Parsons, broadcaster, radio maker, writer, public speaker and library lover.

In addition to a great range of panel presentations, there will be workshops, lightning talks, a trivia quiz and chances to both give and receive reading recommendations.

The conference will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Thurs 11 and Fri 12 May 2023. Click here to book your place today!
