This is a part time, fixed contract role running until early November 2026 with the possibility of becoming an ongoing role

Monday 9.00am – 5.00pm 7.25 hours

Tuesday 9.00am – 5.00pm 7.25 hours

Wednesday 9.00am – 5.00pm 7.25 hours

Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm 7.25 hours

Saturday (1 in 3) 9:45am – 12noon + OT 2.25 hours

Band 4 $73,281 – $79,619 pro rata (Dependent on skills and experience)

About the Role

Do you love inspiring children and families to discover the joy of reading and learning?
Join Your Library as a Children’s Services Officer and help foster lifelong literacy and creativity in our community.

In this role, you will:
• Deliver vibrant and interactive storytime sessions featuring reading, rhyme, music, and movement.
• Plan and support outreach events, festivals, and STEAM-based programs that spark curiosity and creativity.
• Curate and promote children’s collections that reflect the diversity and interests of our communities.
• Build strong partnerships with families, schools, and local organisations to support early literacy.
• Provide exceptional customer service in a welcoming, self-service library environment.
• Act as Officer-in-Charge when required, ensuring smooth branch operations and a safe space for all.
