About the Role
Melton City Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic, vibrant, and energetic staff member to join the team. The role will be delivering high quality customer service, as well as providing administration support to ensure that library rosters, procurement and booking systems are maintained and updated.
Deliver high quality customer service across the library service to ensure customers have a positive experience characterised by active engagement, providing direction to library officers as required.
Create a welcoming experience by engaging with customers throughout the library and undertaking library tasks.
Support the delivery of customer service by maintaining, developing and updating library staff rosters utilising an online rostering system under the guidance of the Team Leader.
Provide central administrative support for the department including preparation of purchase orders, preparation, and processing of invoices, maintaining stationery supplies and liaising with contracted suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.
Contribute to the day to day bookings, hire and operation of meeting rooms and tenant space across Library and Learning Hubs.
Support the delivery of learning, literacy, and outreach programs across the library service and at external location by facilitating and delivering programs as required.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
A Tertiary qualification acceptable for technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association together with public library experience, or other relevant qualification together with relevant public library and program delivery experience.
Excellent customer service and technology skills with the ability to confidently engage with customers.
