About the Role

Hume City Council has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Hume Libraries team. Hume Libraries are one of Victoria’s most progressive and innovative public libraries.

This role covers high quality operational and administrative support to the library management team.

As the Library Operations Support Officer, you will be responsible for the delivery of various service-wide support functions, such as roster support, financial administration duties, general operational administration and support with training and projects. Additionally, you will undertake rostered customer service shifts across Hume Libraries branches, providing excellent customer service to the community.

You will be flexible, passionate and innovative with well-developed communication skills. Your excellent time-management skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced team environment, will be essential to this role.

Key Skills

Excellent customer service skills with well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
Solid understanding of current office technology, processes, procedures and attention to detail
Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and develop efficient administrative processes
