About the Role

Provide enthusiastic and culturally aware customer service to our diverse community.

Deliver and help to develop creative and innovative programs, events and collections for CALD children and youth and their families that incorporate co-design and inclusivity principles to foster a love of reading and sense of community connection.

About the Role
Deliver and help develop inclusive child-led early years’ children’s programs and events that develop literacy and foster community connection for CALD children and their families including families at risk of exclusion
Provide excellent customer service to the community
Build relationships and connect with organisations and teams to deliver CALD outreach and services to the community with a focus on children and their families particularly those at risk of exclusion
Use your CALD collection experience to help develop our commitment to a diverse and inclusive physical and digital collection.

Skills & Experience
A tertiary qualification in library and information management, early childhood, education, youth work or community development and/or less formal qualification with relevant experience in working with children and youth
A current Victorian Driver’s Licence is desirable
Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service, primarily in a library, retail, community or hospitality environment
Demonstrated experience in delivering culturally and linguistically diverse and inclusive programs, activities and resources for early years’ children and their families
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills preferably with fluency in a community language including Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese.
