Are you looking for a way to display two-dimensional artworks and photographs for community exhibitions in your library?
We have a new permanent exhibition space at Geelong Library and Heritage Centre and we can no longer use this system. We’re offering these temporary exhibition walls to any PLV library that is able to organise collection from Geelong Library & Heritage Centre, ASAP.
There are 12 panels in total, all 2400mm high, including:
- 8 x 1200mm wide panels
- 4 x 1000mm wide panels
- 4 x 20mm corner pieces
This gives approximately 13.6 linear metres for display if all panels are used one side only eg. in the rectangle setup, more if both sides are utilised. The panels are connected using corner pieces in various shapes, according to what suits your space and the particular requirements/size of each exhibition:
Artworks are displayed using a wire display system suspended from rails at the top of each panel (included).
Please note, we are offering the full set only (not individual pieces) and the system, once taken, cannot be returned as we urgently need the space for storage.
The system is high quality and additional pieces and fittings are available commercially through POD Museum and Art Services.
Please note also that the walls are heavy and require at least two people to move (three people is ideal), so we have developed a SMWS for installation and deinstallation which we are happy to share with the new owners. The pieces fit onto a custom-made trolley for easier moving and storage:
