Museums Victoria, VicHealth and Public Libraries Victoria are delighted to share with you a very special publication, The Day A Triceratops Turned Up.

The book has been developed by Museums Victoria in partnership with VicHealth in a shared vision to support young people and families to be engaged and active, enjoy healthy food, and build meaningful social connections.

Created for children aged three and up, the book follows the adventures of Toot, a young Triceratops, and celebrates the joys of community, wellbeing, friendship, and the wonders of trying new things.

Woven through the story are a range of accessible activities that your community members can try out for themselves together with Toot, from mixing up a bowl of delicious guacamole to crafting a display of beautiful paper wings.

Each Victorian library branch receives two complimentary copies to include in their collection for communities to enjoy. Don’t forget to collect copies for the branches at the PLV Conference on Thursday 11 May.

And stay tuned after the conference for a chance to win a crocheted Toot the Triceratops (pictured) courtesy of #LiteraryCritters, together with a prize pack from Melbourne Museum. We’ll be sharing more details soon.
