The Right Pen Collective for Australian Muslim Writers is proud to present the 2nd Australian Muslim Writers Festival (AMWF) taking place 30 Sep – 8 October. The theme of the event is “our table” were people of all faiths, or none,  are invited to book a seat around a table made up of Australian Muslim Writers.

We would like to thank Yarra Plenty Regional Library and Moreland Library service for being the venue partners of this community led event.

Meet one of Australia’s funniest comedians, Nazeem Hussain, and be the first to be the first to get your hands on his brand-new hilarious children’s book.

Attend a workshop for aspiring young writers, taught by CBCA book of the year nominated author Huda Hayek.

Listen to local writer Özge Sevindik Alkan to talk about her journey from a librarian to a published author whose co-authored work was adapted into a musical puppet show.

In this panel curated by the SAARI Collective Nadia Niaz, Adalya Nash Hussein and Tasneem Chopra will be in conversation with Tasnim Hossain to discuss the tables they took their seats at and the tables they built themselves.
