The Love your library in your language campaign encourages library patrons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) to participate by writing a message of love to their library in their preferred language during in March during Cultural Diversity Week 11-21 March and Harmony Week 20-26 March 2023.

Postcards have been created by CAVAL, our campaign sponsor. The postcards provide a space for a handwritten message. During the campaign, encourage library patrons to write a message to be displayed during the campaign. Throughout the campaign, share a photo or scanned copy of completed postcards with us and on your social media channels using #loveyourlibrary

The program launches this Saturday 11 March in participating libraries.

At the end of the campaign, the completed postcards will be collected and shared with the Victorian Minister for Multicultural Affairs, The Hon Colin Brooks, to help raise the Minister’s awareness of the importance of libraries for Victoria’s multicultural communities.

Digital printable assets of postcards and hard copy postcards have been provided to participating libraries, along with some social media assets to use in the promotion of the campaign.

The love your library in your language is a shared collaboration across the Multicultural Services and Programs Special Interest Group (MSP SIG), Myli – My Community Library, Public Libraries Victoria and CAVAL.
