Position Title: Payroll Officer
Permanent part-time, 3 days a week Band 5, $68,774 – $79,087 plus superannuation (pro-rata)

About the Role
A new and exciting opportunity is available for an experienced payroll professional to join our passionate and fun People and Business Operations team. The Payroll Officer works closely with the Finance and Payroll Coordinator to ensure we deliver an effective and efficient payroll function to all staff across the Geelong Regional Library Corporation. We welcome candidates with the right skill set and experience to apply, that may need adjusted working hours to suit family commitments and work/life balance. The position is permanent part time, 3 days a week with the opportunity to tailor working hours accordingly.
You have proven experience in a similar role. You possess well developed customer service, time management and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under minimal supervision. You also have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and are able to work effectively within a team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Coordinator Finance and Payroll, ensuring staff are paid accurately and timely.
- Positively contributing and identifying ongoing and regular improvements to all payroll related practices, systems, processes and documentation.
- Developing and nurturing partnerships with relevant stakeholders including internally and with the City of Greater Geelong.
- As part of the People & Business Operations Team, providing efficient and effective payroll administrative support.
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement while modelling behaviours in line with GRLC values.
